In this class, we work to refine the foundational poses and thread them into more challenging poses and variations while cultivating deeper understanding and appreciation of our body, breath and mind. It is strongly recommended that students have at least 2 years of consistent yoga practice, and are comfortable with headstand, shoulder stand, and back bend over a chair - or know alternatives for these poses. If you have a major injury, this class is not for you.

The aim of this class is to give students with some yoga experience to learn how to adapt their yoga practice to manage common issues such as lower back pain, knee strains, neck & shoulder stiffness. Each time the class meets we focus on a specific area of the body. The class is recommended for students who have stiffness and pain due to minor injuries and/or wear-and-tear. The classes are also great for those who are interested in learning more about different parts of the body through yoga practice.
